Panorama LED Aquarium Retrofit???

Any body have any experience with this Panorama LED Aquarium Retrofit. I have a 28g BioCube, with stock lighting, and i am looking to upgrade to LED. I live in Southern GA, and heard that the LED's will blow with low voltage power surges? So i am a bit reluctant to spend $350. Please, and info you have, or photos or your tanks would be awesome. Thanks!!

i ordered 2 panorama modules to add to my T5 lighting. i'll post some pics when they arrive, still waiting. never heard of the low volt power surge problem with them.

Assuming the LEDs do not have any protection in the driver you could throw them on a surge protector if you're worried about it.

They will be on a GFIC and on a corallife timer surge. Think that will be safe?
