panorama pro vs AI?

I have not owned ether one but if it was me AI would be my first pick. There is alot of good reviews on the AI, and I have seen them in person 8).

the modules vs the fixture? Ive had both, the modules are cool, but you can't control them or dim them. Plus you'll need to hook up quite a few for your tank. They don't come with fans, and mine would always run super hot.
The AI will give you more options, cool blue/royal blue/ N. white. Pick up a controller for them and you can control each color individually, set up moonlights/matched up with lunar cycle, thunderstorms, set up like 12 different timers. So many options.
You can't compare the 2.
If your talking about the Panorama Pro Fixture Id still go with the AI. Those Pro fixtures give out a dizzying digital shimmer like no other. Although they have a dimmer/controller also, Ive never seen/used it. Reef Culture has them over their frag tanks, and they are not impressive.
SEA has an AI in, see if they can show you that one. Only downside is they don't have a controller for it, so you can't really see just how customizable it is.

OK - so here's what I'm thinking. My tank is 6' long but since it was built for use with three MH, there are two very stout braces interrupting the surface. I'm hoping to get three AIs and supplement with a couple of Panorama strips if needed. I was at SEA and saw the super blue AI and it sure looks pretty. My concern was spread and I couldn't really afford another $1000 to get five vs three, but since I can add strips if needed, I feel better. Plus, it looks like there are now some cool colors available with the Panorama so I can tweak the appearance if the tank doesn't look the way I want it too. So I think I've decided - unless any of you say noooooo way - stupid idea.

They come with 70' and 40' optics. I've heard some people switch out to all 70'.

Thanks Evo! I emailed the person but have not heard back yet. The ones they have look like blues rather than super blues. If he/she responds I might consider them too.
I had my heart set on Super Blues so I bought the one at SEA and they are ordering two more. I'm pretty excited and can't wait to get them (and a controller) and start to play. The one I brought home looks way brighter than my Solaris - power of the sun in my hands I tell you what.
