Hey guys, i have a 75gl with LR from top to bottom. I keep buying cleaner shrimp and/or pepermint shrimp drop em in and within 1 day theyre gone.. the first few times i made a purchase i thought they were ust hiding in the rocks. now im starting to suspect maybe 1 of my fish are eating them.

I have a blue hippo tang, file fish, copper band butterfly, six line, black damzel, engineer goby, panther grouper.

the panther grouper is a PITA. comparitively the largest fish in the tank and can be a bully..

anyone ever had a fish eat the shrimp??

ive bought about 6 pepermint and 2 cleaner shrimp in the past 3-4 months and never saw 1 after the 1st day of introducing them in the DT

I agree. Groupers eat anything that fits in their mouths eventually your other fish. Panther groupers get huge. Almost 2 ft long and need a huge aquarium. Also depending on his size, your engineer goby could be taking them out. Mine is about a foot long and he eats large frozen krill if I move them around by his burrow.

You're lucky the grouper hasnt eaten any fish yet, that is the prime suspect here. They are monsters. You're going to need a 1000+ gallon tank to house that thing long term.

OMG.. im missing 2 ocellaris clowns as well.. ive had the clowns since the beginning.. i just assumed they got old and died.. one day 1 clown was gone ..next day the other was gone..

Well, this fish will get to be a foot and a half long. It will eat any shrimp it can find, any fish it can fit in its mouth. Are you really surprised?

Start buying cheaper shrimp, like from the seafood counter, or get rid of the grouper. 41" full grown. They are too cute when they are small and people buy them. Then they grow up and eat everything in your tank.

Its called a PANTHER grouper, not a DALMATIAN grouper, or a polka dot grouper, why do you think they call it a PANTHER grouper, lol

I'd suggest you research fish before buying. These groupers grow very fast and will eat most of the fish you have soon, plus I think the adults are ugly as hell. I also think your tank is too small for the tang and the CBB. Think in terms of adult fish, not the juvies you see at the lfs.
