PAR and clear screen tops

Has anyone done a PAR test to see if there is light loss when using a clear screen top?

you mean the nylon netting? I have done it, PAR values are barely effected.

I don't want to link to an outside forum, but here's the results from a guy who did some par measurements a few years ago:

no top 345
mesh top 327 (6.3% reduction)
clean glass top 305 (12.6% reduction)
egg crate 265 (23.2% reduction)

Thanks for posting this. It reaffirms my choice to keep my glass top. I don't mind cleaning them once in a while.

If I remember correctly I had the screen from bulk reef and my reduction was far less then that. I currently don't run one or is measure it.
