Parabolic reflectors...

I was browsing Hellolights.com earlier looking for a reflector I could work into a hood for my cube and would accept a 400w bulb and socket...Anyway, I found this:

to go along with this:

I love the "bluer" look of the higher K range bulbs. Anyway, anyone ever use or buy one of these reflectors? How was the quality?
What about Coralvue bulbs? How do they stack up? I know it's the cheapest bulb there but if the quality is good, then cost isn't really my main consideration.

Or if anyone has a housing with a reflector for a 400w locally they want to get rid of...pendant maybe. :) I don't need the electrics just the reflector or reflector/pendant/housing.
I am kind of leary about putting a MH in a hood as the hood would have to be semi tall to be optimum and the tank is already top heavy enough as it is...
A pendant would be ideal but I can't find a "bare" pendant and one that is reasonably priced(read less than like $70 or $80ish).

Sorry, I am just rambling now.

thats the same reflector i am using on my tank but i am running 2 400 watt 20k XM's I am still new to MH as i was running T5's before this but am very happy with the blusih color they give out. haven't tried any other MH bulbs so can't tell you that.

also does that reflector come with the socket? it don't seem to come with it so you will need that also. here is what set i got.

also i wouldn't see whay a MH in the canopy will be a big prob. cause the reflector and bulb are not very heavy the ballast don't go into the canopy. and if you mean top heavy as in it has to be tall. well i have mine sitting as high up as it will go and my canopy is 10" tall

I have the socket, ballast, wiring, etc. I just need the reflector and the bulb. I have a 10k bulb now but I don't like the whitish quality of the light that much. I think it bleaches stuff out too much where as the blue of the 20k really makes the colors stand out.

Glad to hear the Coralvues are a decent product. I am trying to decide between the XM bulb or the Coralvue.

ANd of course, money is indeed an object...so anyone wanna buy an old Gateway laptop and other miscellaneous PC stuff? ;)
