Paracentropyge multifasciata

Yes, they nip at my sps all day long. This is normal behavior however, and my sps still look and grow very well. Additionally, the angels swimming throught the sps branches and hanging out under my 8" plate coral is an incredible site! Definitely well worth it. If you sps are healthy, most angels will not do any real damage.

Good to know. I wonder if they would do more damage in a smaller tank (i.e. 120 gallon). Less corals to choose from.

Searching for info on these beauties I stumbled on this thread.
Any new info?? I have a pair well trying to pair them up in a 40B they are eating frozen foods and ocean nutrition flakes. The smaller one nips at a blue hoeki but no big damage being done. Does your trio eat nori??? Mine get the lives floating in the water column but spit them back out

Trying to resurrect this thread to see if there are any update? Just got mine out of QT and and has been eating happily on mysis and frozen plankton. Was planning on buying one because of how finicky they are to get eating, but when I was at my LFS wanted to see if another fish was eating and the multi was the first fish to attack the food added to the tank. Well he/she ended up coming home with me.

Glad to hear you found a Multi. I have been searching for a year it seems with no luck. Local LFS's have gotten them in but they never eat and soon perish in their tanks. I may have to take the risk and buy a non-eating fish ,but that's like throwing a $100 bill in the wind and hoping it comes back. Best of luck with your new pet.

Mine is doing fine despite not eating prepared food. I looked at my post I have had the fish for about 6 weeks. Obviously a very short period of time. But he is quite active and seems to have adapted to tank life. He's out and about all the time.
