Parallel or perpendicular

Usually, with horizontal reflectors, the bulb puts out more light from side to side than tip to base. PFO and most others suggest having the bulbs perpendicular to the front glass for this reason.

Which pendant?

Not sure, I snapped a quick photo of them

hahnmeister, from your description sounds like I should hang them the other way.

thats what the mfg say, but nobody listens and most people mount them like you are showing. Truth is, the mfg's are right.

I was running 2 150 DE pendants before this but I accidently burned out the ballast for one so I'm back to these, but putting them on right after the properly hung 150"s I noticed a huge difference in the light and coverage thats what prompted me to post the question. Hopefully I'll be happier with them when they are hung correctly.

thanks for your help
Colleen
