Parasite On Tang

Had our yellow tang for maybe 2 months now. He was/is healthy. Eats well. Last night he looked fine, today he has an isopod looking tick like parasite on his side. How do I help him? Low salinity dip? And furthermore how do I make sure there are no other parasite hitchhikers lurking in my tank?

Most isopods are harmless and easy to remove with a tweezers. I've done several, dab with mecurichrome after getting the parasite off. There are countless species of these things and I doubt if you would ever know they're there (in some life-stage) until they show up on a fish.

It fell off the tang about an hour after I posted this. Tang has a small battle wound but seems healthy. It didn't look like those rollie pollie looking isopds. It was very small. Clear see through body, black eyes. The tang wasn't bothered by it at all as far as I could tell. I just feel so bad. I hate ticks and thats what it reminded me of, haha.
