Parasitic Isopod on cleaner shrimp...

Take a look at this photo, is this a parasitic isopod? I purchased him at a LFS about 4 weeks ago. I noticed the small spot once we got him home. It seems much larger now, makes me think parasite.

Anyway to get it off? Can you freshwater dip a cleaner? Should I try to manually remove it? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
