The sand machine!

The red on the trigger is still something else. Is it as red as it looks in the picture when in person?

That's pretty funny.

So I dont know much about parrotfish, I thought they needed lots of coral to munch. What are you feeding yours? Obviously he is scraping rock because he is pooping sand, maybe he just feeds off cyano?

When I first observed your picture #1, I assumed, (Maybe nievely), that the "Red tinge" on your Clown Triggers fins was a reflection of the "Red" live Rock in the background.
I have, however been proved wrong. It seems to me, that you are in possession of a very rare "SubSpecies"! Maybe a "Sargassum clown trigger"?? Have you researched its Origin??

I saw large schools of parrots in Bermuda doing just that :)

Quite an awsome sight. (the parrots, not so much the poop but that was cool too.)

Dan
ya you got to come see this guy,
are you coming Sunday?

Recty

He eats N/life pellets, shrimp, nori and cyano LOL.

He is a very fat fish!!!

Thanks
Ya. he is nice when I picked him up he was a little smaller than they told me was but those colors sold me!!

I think he is from The Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

I emailed my supplier to find out the exact origin just now so I will let you know what he says.

I do indeed have have many, many pictures of my fish, that I would like to share with you Mr Reefer, and the rest of the members. It is only recently that I have decided to join this Forum to share my experience and knowledge.
I am not, because of my age, very "IT" conversant. I have stated on many occasions, on open Forum, the difficulty I have uploading/ downloading pictures on this Forum. I have to say, I am very disappointed with the Admin/ Moderators, of this Forum having not offered me assistance to enable me to share the pictures that I would like you all to see!!! They must have seen my attempts being rejected!!

Does your Tru Vu tank get scratched by the puffer? I just bought a 240G Tru Vu (8'x2'x2') and Im worried my puffers will destroy it!

How do you like the tank overall??

Yes puffers and trigger will scratch the s*** out of it.

I would not put sand in it, as it makes it to hard to keep clean without scratching it.

It is a great tank just scratches way to easy!!!!!

I will buy glass from now on, starphire or a low iron content equivalent.

Yeah, good times on the forum. Great group of people. Glad to be back...:D

About that parrot fish-do they do alright in semi-aggressive settings, say with a picasso trigger being the most aggressive fish?

and by the way-you have some beautiful looking fish! That clown trigger is really cool. Also upon closer inspection of your picture my question was fairly dumb as the parrot fish is housed with 3 species of trigger (and one that's closely related to the picasso :rolleye1: ). Anyway, are parrot fish fairly easy to take care of as I'm planning on starting a 180g FOWLR sometime in the semi-near future
