Part 2 here :) But how to trim gorg, best practice?

I got part 2 installed.

But I accidentally broke a branch off the gorgonian *see picture* during the install. Its day 3 and ammonia levels at .5ppm but not going over.

Any advice on where to cut exactly? And what do I do about the main "tree"? Leave it alone? I was thinking of fragging the tree but don't have the super glue. I'm also a newbie at fragging so any advice on making sure I don't kill off the main gorg. would be welcomed.

Day 1 of part 2 installing Richard's "Package"

I'm so impressed with Richard's rock I can't stop raving about them. He sent a ton of "extras" that is incredibly amazing. I've been reading about TBS rock for a few months now and all I can say is that it's ALL TRUE!!!!

Day 1 12 hours after installing part 2!

I haven't changed the lighting in the tank. And since adding Richard's LiveRock, I haven't performed any water changes. The water turned from a yellow to almost crystal clear.

Here's a picture BEFORE the TBS rock went in. It was a Fish Only tank with fake plants and dead rock.

Day 2 of Part 2. I moved the purple gorgonian away from the back of the tank towards the front.

And more pics...

Many of the "extras" you get when ordering Richard's "package"! :D

Blenny with character! I love this little fish! What I really like about this blenny is that she always likes to be in the lime light. She could hide and on the other side of the rocks, but would rather be seen in the front :)

That kind of gorg does not like to touch anything else....where it does touch something it will slough off where it touched...../.the good part is these guys grow like crazy, so just snip it off and relocate....and you will have a new gorg! Do not try to glue it to anything, just find a small hole for the frag...it will eventually grab a holdfast......BTW...nice pics, what kind of camera?

Thanks for the info Richard. :reading: I will get my scissors in there and relocate asap. I wanted to get information before I could accidentally kill such a beautiful specimen.

Thanks for the props on the pics. I think the key is using a tripod whenever possible. It's kind of an old model... Olympus 5060Z, it's 3 years old now :eek1:
