Part 2 In The Tank!

I just finished installing the rocks and animals from my Part 2 delivery. Pics:

This is a 4 foot long 90 gallon tank. Notice how clear the water is. These pics were taken just a few hours after aquascaping the tank.

your tank looks great. it is amazing how clear the water is just shortly after adding the rock. your tang should love the salad bar its all of the rock just ready for the taking.

Very nice pics....might be a good idea to relocate that tree sponge rather then having it planted into the substrate.

Yes, in an area that does not get the brightest light and with good flow.

That's a great looking setup. I love how natural it looks. It's really hard to do that with other LR.

You should make sure to have a heck of a skimmer, because that tang is going to chomp through that Caulerpa in no time at all...

Roger: Yeah I found several hitch hikers. The ones that I know of are 2 feather dusters, one orange the other white. A cucumber, several turbo snails, several red crabs that I think are porcelain crabs and one mantis shrimp that didn't make it into the tank.

Howard: Thanks for the tip. I'll relocate the sponge.

ReefWreak: The skimmer is pulling alot of gunk out. The tang does pick at the caulerpa but doesn't seem to be destroying it.

I had and orange tree sponge in my old setup placed in my substraist and it lived for 2 years and doupled in size.


can't tell in the picture but it is is sand.

Well, I really can't find a shady spot in the rock. I will put some rubble under and around it and see if it will take root that way. Thanks for the feedback!!

Juz.. what type of lighting do you have, your tank looks great. looks like 2 halides and t5's?

Light is a 48" Coralife Aqualite like this one.

10,000k metal halide, true actinics and moon LEDs.
