Part 2

Part 2 has been in and cycling for a week now, and ammonia never got above 1ppm - That Vertex skimmer was worth it for sure. I was working alone getting all this stuff acclimated, and there was A LOT of stuff, so I don't have many pics from day 1. Here are a couple from day 3 that I took. I'll post more when I get time - Been pretty busy here helping friends and family clean up after the flood this weekend in Nashville. Thanks Richard, you really outdid yourself once again!

Thanks! I had everything done before we really got hit with the rain - I didn't pay much attention to the forcast, so I had no idea we'd get that much water. Most people I know were pretty fortunate, and my immediate family all stayed dry. I actually went out to get new tires put on my car when it started raining, and about an hour and a half later I was driving around Mt Juliet trying to find a road to my house that wasn't under water (I did get home eventually).

I was worried when everything came in I wasn't going to have room for it all, but I think it turned out pretty good in the end. You can't even see everything that was in the box in these photos - 7 big sponges (the purple and yellow ones are especially cool), 5 really big gorgonians/sea fans, a GIANT cucumber (which my mom refers to as "the turd" - lol). The flower and condy anemones are settling in nicely as well.

Had one casualty however - the flame scallop only made it a day. It looked torn up, which could have been hermits cleaning up, but there were no hermits on it when I discovered it was dead. I have a mantis shrimp running loose in there right now, so I'm blaming it for the scallop.

Overall, it's been an awesome experience ordering from TBS - Thanks again for everything Richard!

Sorry for the late response, finally getting some time to myself again. :)

Nice job on the aquascape. How big is your tank?

Your tank is awesome

Thanks for the compliments, I like how it turned out too :). The tank is a 57G Oceanic RR rimless, 36"x18"x21". I kind of lucked out on the scape - I only spent about 15 minutes stacking to get it roughly in shape so I could get all the animals Richard sent out of their bags before bed, and then I ended up keeping it that way.
