Parts numbers

I need the parts numbers again for 6100 magnet assembly. The darn thing got stuck again. I broke the plastic shaft when I tried to pryed it out after soaking it more then 24 hrs. If I don't acid bath it every 2-3 weeks I am running at risk getting it frozen by 4th week. Is this a design fault? The stream is around 2 years old and it has always been this way (and I am pretty sure its the same stream each time). My Ca and Alk is set within range of your recommendations (380-400ppm and below 12 dkh).

The drive unit has been changed to add a vacuum break, this reduces the precipitation but I suspect that because your interval is so short between cleanings that the cooling port in the center of the magnet or the upper bearing is partially plugged, this would exasperate the problem and this is frequently ignored. Also, if you are using a strong acid you have reduced the tolerances in the pump because the plastic is swollen, this also makes the problem worse as less water can get through the pump to cool it, nothing beyond vinegar or very dilute like 1-25 muriatic acid should be used. The oldest drive unit generally lasted at least 2 months between cleanings. If you did use strong acid more than once I would suggest sending in the motor block to be rehoned to spec. The part is 6080.60. The new parts have another problem in that with less vacuum they are not as readily able to purge the air inside and may be noisy for a couple weeks unless you install the drive unit under water.

Acid can't be the blame. It locked up within a month before I switch to muriatic acid. Vingar just doesn't cut it, even after days of soaking. And the cooling hole and such are all clear, I definately check it every time I acid bath it. I do dilute the acid along the range that you recommended (at most 1:20 ratio).

Is 6080.60 the whole magnet assembly just without the prop?

No problem, I was thrown off at first, I had never had an ATT internet call. I am used to what we have here is called Texas Relay for the Deaf and Speech Impaired. Thanks and I will fix it as soon as it arrives.
