Hi Don!
Would you say that there is a Parviturbo weberi?
Unfortunately I have no idea how it came into my tank´s. Atlantic, Pacific, I don´t know. I have countless of them in the tank´s. They reproduce very well. Harmless good algae eater in the night. The snail´s are 1.5 to 2 mm in size (maximum). This snails are very fragile.
Or are you thinking it is a different species?

Sorry for the "bad" pic´s.

Hi Gerrit,

It's a Parviturbo species for sure, unless the Indo-Pacific shells that look just like that are assigned to a different genus (and they were, previously). Your shell looks to be a bit taller than the photos that I can find of P. weberi, so it may be a different species, especially if it is from the Indo-Pacific. There are at least 5 or 6 similar species from the Pacific, some of them detailed in Patty Jansen's book on Australian/New South Wales shells. I'll have to dig through some of the literature and see if I can find a more exact match. I'll let you know what I find.

Cheers,

Don

Thank´s Don.
But I don´t think it is Vaceuchelus.
My snail's are really maximum 2 mm. I have these snails for over 3 years and none was so far bigger then 2 mm, rather smaller.

Some of the other chilodontids in different genera/subgenera (Euchelus/Herpetopoma) may look similar as well, although I didn't see any great examples on my brief search on the net.

Hmm, not really similar to my snail´s.
