Passive Clown?

Pink skunks are fairly passive -- as far as clowns go. However, they will become a bit more aggressive when/if they start spawning.

All clowns can become aggressive so just be careful. But yes, skunks or even clarkii's should be ok....
Cheers
Keith

I heard that many of the TANK raised clowns would not be as aggressive as their wild counterparts. I want a pair of clowns, so it sounds like I should add them last?

Thanks,

Robka

I dont know about the difference in wild caught/tank raised as far aggression....Ive seen some pretty mean tank raised clowns.

I have had both wild caught and tank raised clowns over the years, and I have noticed no difference in their behavior. My Clarkii pair (( which I recently sold )) were tank raised and they were mean little suckers. And the older they got the meaner they were.

But, I would add them last.

Skunks are first to my mind also, next would be maybe tank raised occs, but also agree all can get mean when they mature/spawn.
Clarkis have always been super mean IME.
Another factor is having a nem host, seems they become even more territorial w/ the add of a nem IME.

I'm not going to be adding an Anemone, so hopefully they won't be too territorial. I do have soft and LPS corals in the tank. My wife really likes the look of the Ocellaris Clownfish. They seem to be listed as peaceful on most of the websites. Anyone out there have a pair of OC's that don't terrorize their tank mates?

Thanks again for all the help:),

I've seen many occs be pretty peaceful.
I personally do think tank raised occs are more passive from my exp., but all can be different in personalities, never a gaurantee.

my false percs are the nicest thing in my tank. I actually got them first after the tank had cycled and added my other fish after.

My clowns really like this one rock....(not the nem I got them:mad2:) when other fish come to "hang" out with them at their rock they seem to not care one bit.

Tank mates.
