Since Tonya wants to pull up the carpet in the basement and put down tile, I need to move the 120 into the fish room while the floor is done.

Sooooooo I said what the hell and ordered a 225 gal tank from CustomAquariams.com. 36"w - 24"h - 60"d :lolspin:

120 is now sold and gone. New tank will be here in Nov. :bounce3:

Holding Tank for Rock & Coral. Rest of coral & fish are in the frag tank till the new tank is setup.

Carpet gone - Tile Floor Complete
RVA Tile and Stone did a great job. Nice to have a floor guy who is a reefer. Floor where the tank goes is now perfectly level. Will not need shims like the old tank.

Skimmer is going to be a ATB 1050a.

Will have a total water volume = 335 gal

225gal +60 gal cube sharing a 50gal sump

Does this mean it will be 3' wide and stick out into the room 5' or is it 5' long and sticking out into the room 3'?

Based on the pic of where it looks like the tank is going, I'd assume it is 5' long.

Nice dimensions for the tank. Looking forward to how the tank looks, that builder is one I've looked into, but being so new I want to see more tanks by them before I'd order one myself.

Added 2 center supports in the back.
One extra front rail since the front will not have a center support.
Three top center supports.

Now I need to decide to paint or stain the inside. Outside is going to be stained.

Looks great, I've not used a pocket hole jig for frames like that, but I may try it on my next build. But I think I will plane my edges if I do. Normal lumber rounded edges would bug me with pocket holes lol.

So far this is just the frame. The skin will be made of all planed stuff.
