Pavona Appears to have stung my BOP.

Where's The Reef?
I was out of town this week, and got back this morning. So while observing new growth, I notice my Birds off Paradise (BOP) has a big White spot of tissue loss, this spot is sitting 1/4" away from my Pavona. Is this what happened? Can Pavona's Sting? No Alk Swings over the time I was gone, it's the same now as when I left, I can't really speak for a temp swing, since I wasn't there to see it.The other corals look the same as when I left (great).

Is the Pavona the Culprit?

Should I frag the BOP, or just do a Super glue bandaid?

Pavona's are nasty. I keep mine on their own rock, away from anything else.

I have seen mine put out 3-4" sweepers.

Wow, I had no idea!My Pavona is about 8"x7" right now, so it's never too far from any colony.I will Deffinately move it away from everything else.

I have another question about the Pavona. How come when I feed my other colonies it starts secreting a white mucus from its polyps? But, it doesn't do this when I feed it directly?I don't always target feed it.

never seen a feeding response like that.

maybe it doesnt need to secrete the mucus if your already feeding it?

I know, this is a strange one, I may just move everything away from it, instead of relocating it, reason being is that my Pavona has been very temperamental about its placement, what with Light and Flow levels, and I finally think I have found its sweet spot where it thrives. We will see though, it was bleaching out, turning from a deep purple to a light pink, no PE, and just looked unhappy, but not anymore.
