Hello, does anyone have any pictures of pavona maldivensis, and any information on this coral. Information like where they occur, what lighting they require, and what type of current.. thank you in advance
Hi, i don't have any, but have seen where they are collected. Most of the time they are growing on the underside of rocks & caves. I would say low-medium light at best, with medium current.
I have mine being blasted by 250 Watt HQIs....14K Pheonix bulbs.....corals is doing mighty fine...It's actually grown a lot within the past year also considering when I purchased it, it was a size of a half dollar...I'll post a picture once I can get a decent looking shot.
I had mine about midway up under 2 250 watts SE 14ks on icecaps in a 58 gallon and it did fine. FWIW they can tolerate a lot of flow too as I had it in my sps tank with quite a bit of flow.
Here, you could see the Pavona Maldiveinsis, orange intertwine w/ the other corals in the tank. Crapy picture,w/2.5 megapixels sucks. But,anyways enjoy.
