Pavona on rampage!

I have a green Pavona that has done really well. So well, it's completely taking over the large shelf rock it's on and steamrolling other corals. It's beginning to encroach on an Acan colony (already killed a head) and a bali tri-color. What can I do? Must I remove the other corals from that rock with a dremmel?

I stupidly placed a couple of Montiporas (pokerstar and sunset) where they could, if they did well, encroach on some of my favorite acros (Pearlberry and Upscales Microclados). So I recently had to kill some really nice montis! I made a thick but flowable paste of pickling lime (kalkwasser powder), and put it in a syringe. It comes out very heavy and doesn't mix with the water. If you leave it on for a while it kills down to the skeleton. WHat I did was to make an articificial "No Man's Land" around my acros, I will probably have to repeat it occassionally.

Pavona is best placed on it's own rock in the middle of sand not touching other rocks or corals. Limits encroachment and nearby warfare possibilities.

My hydnophora is under the same restrictive placement.

I had to do this with my green monti to protect my lokani.

Here it is a while back. It's grown all the way to the acans on the bottom of the pic.

I have the same problem. My pavona is actually spreading onto my green cap. I may just break off the cap and try to save it.
