Pavona?

This was displayed as a pavona but has an unusual morphology, at least to me

it was casting out sweeper tentacles which you can just make out in a couple of the pics.

TIA

Thankyou. I didn't think it was a Pavona as the corallites are wrong. seems its not a particularly popular species but i love the growth form and it is a much nicer colour in person.
I found it on liveaquaria where it says peaceful but there were evident "tentacles" coming from the coral and you can see the beginnings of them above. These were several inches in length. Can you confirm it is a peaceful species?

I cannot. To tell you the truth you're right it is very uncommon, I have never seen this species in the hobby. I have seen the plating species. If it is throwing out stinging tentacles then it would be safe to say it can be aggressive if anything gets to close. I'd give it some room.

Thanks. Doing a bit of reading and apart from lots of conflicting info, with it ranging from being easy to near impossible to keep, it says that these corals use a mucus net to capture food as the polyps aren't visible. So it may be this that i saw.
The tentacles themselves looked different to the type of sweeper tentacles you'd commonly see on something like a favia, where the stinging tip is very evident. So i'll keep an eye on it and see what happens.
