I love how you guys take it so personal.. Im asking for an opinion, thats y i am here. If my mind was made up then y would I ask?
Plus the only reason i stated the dimensions of the tank is because the 18" i lost in length i gain in width so i was kinda wondering if it was the same thing... I mean after all i dont think the fish is just gonna swim left to right...

Ok, well, I had to remove a Sohal from a 350 gallon tank as it was killing fish, not just other tangs either. I have seen them do fairly well in a 1000 gallon tank; it is possible with much more room, they don't become as aggressive. I don't think that Brian or I take it personally; after all it is your money, your fish, and your tank. We can give our opinions based on our experience but at the end of the day, we don't have to solve the problem.
Personal? No one is taking anything personally. Since multiple people expressed the opinion that the powder blue tang would not do well in a tank your size, and you decided after hearing only advice to the contrary that the fish would be "fine", the only conclusion one could reach was that the advice given here wasn't heeded, and that a decision had already been made.
To continue with Steve's line of thinking, I can't count the number of threads I have read in this forum from people who added a powder blue tang, and, if they were lucky enough to keep it alive, had to deal with it becoming very territorial and aggressive as it got older. You can also look to those who have had success and in the majority of the cases the powder blue was in a larger tank.

I have both along with a naso, purple and yellow. The little sohal is a stud, but it has settled in. The purple and yellow don't back down at all and actually chase it. Teh pbt and sohal take tuns who chases who. the sohal likes the left side and pbt on the right.
I know I shouldn't have gotten it but it was at the LFS two weeks and was perfect. It will come and eat out of my hands.

Your tank at 54' x 36' x 20' is 168 gallons. Eighteen gallons is not a lot bigger than a 150.
The main problem is that the pbt needs length to swim and your tank is not as suitable as a longer 72" tank such as a 180 would be.
Your tank is marginal for a pbt and definitely too small for the sohal.
Not that I suggest it but when I had my pbt and sohal together in my 125 I believe that the pbt kept the aggression of the sohal down to a minimum, but every fish is different, they were also fed twice a day and had plenty of hiding spots so there really were no figting between all the fish that were in it.
As everything grew I knew I had to get a larger tank for everything. And to be honest my Pbt is more on teh aggressive side than it was as a juvi.
