Ok, so here's what I have when I turn on the PC..

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed, if this is a new installation ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any window updates you might need.
If this problems continues, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options suchh as caching or showdowing. If you need to use safe mood to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select safe mood.

FWIW, the last thing I installed was Norton 360 (2.0)...that was a couple weeks ago and all my photos were saved to there back up.
