Peace to your reefing . . .

Sadly, today I am reminded of why I began reefing, and why I started a reef in Columbine's library. I had let the tank go neglected for awhile, but recently have begun to rebuild it and it has rekindled the joy and peace that an aquarium has always brought to me. I understand that we can sometimes get lost in the frag quests for certain corals or the competition to have this or that latest colored piece. But let's all try to remind ourselves of the serenity of the underwater worlds we create and simply smile at the simple pleasures they bring--an escape from what are often otherwise hectic lives.

What a tragic shame. My heart goes out to those kids and that teacher is a hero.

I attended Deer Creek in 84-85,it was horrible to see the school with all of police and kids running away from it on the news. I cannot imagine what can make humans want to harm the innocent, but am thankful for the staff willing to risk their own lives for the safety of the kids.
