im not too sure about the miracle mud for the substrate i dont see why it wouldnt work, you might as well take out the PVC because as of lately it seems like most of the peacocks i have heard about would much rather dig their own burrow, and deffinately take down the lighting cycle to lower then 12 hour days, there have been some tests that even though there is no deffinate conclusion their seems to be a relationship between the peacocks getting shell disease and the amount and length of light they get
