Peacock in a 75g?

I've read through the thread. Great info! I'm building out a 75g
AGA(replacing a 55g I've had up for two years) to keep softies and a few LPS. 2 150w mh for lighting. My fish will be minimal, a few damsels and a clown or two. I've been intrigued by the mantis and have been considering purchasing a 12g nanocube and keeping a smaller mantis(n.wenn maybe) in it, but I was in the LFS the other day and was smitten by a 4" Peacock. Would I be insane to keep a peacock in a 75g? Is the glass stout enough? Would he be okay under the halides? I know most reefers are trying to get mantis out of their tanks and I'm talking about putting one in. Any opinions would be appreciated.

I think that would be the COOLEST EVER!!!!! GO for it! Your clowns and damsel should be fine as long as you feed the peacock krill, scallops, shrimp, etc. Mine will not even eat the large illyneous snail clean up crew

I do think it would be cool and I am really tempted. I think the breaking glass thing is part truth, part urban myth. You would think in a 75 he would have plenty to keep him occupied and the glass is pretty thick. On the other hand, the vision of 75 gallons of saltwater on my carpet isn't appealing. I could always go with a smaller mantis in the big tank. Either way, I expect I'll have to replenish my cleanup crew on a regular basis.

Boy, if he could break that glass, i would be more concerned with him sneaking out at night and secretly becoming a prize fighter(not likely!)
