Peacock in Glass?

You'll go through a lot of clams! Mine would kill anything like that in his tank in short order. They wouldn't be in there long enough to do any cleaning that's for sure. The onl cleaner/food item that lives very long with mine are small hermits with xtra thick shells, they are good for 5 days if I add them at night.

Mine would just go on a killin spree. I give him a herm a week maybe the rest of the time is frozen food.

My new monster. Ordered from my LFS. Showed up at a little over 6" long.

Stunning bugger! I hope yours is the showman mine is. Peacocks are usually out and about a good bit and are master masons, give him lots of stuff to build with and rearange it for him once a month or so.

Yo nanoreef I still got that tank for you. I am going out of town for a couple weeks I may have to bring you that tank and check out the new guy. He’s beastmode!

Sounds good to me Tundra. I was in a car accident right after we talked on the phone which totaled my only means of picking the tank up. We'll figure it out eventually. Yeah I can't believe how big he is. He was definitely either rearranging last night or getting a midnight turbo snail snack. Lots of racket going on.

You won't keep a cuc with him. Do be careful about putting many prey items in at once. Mine will either kill it as soon as he sees it hungry or not or he catches it and burys it in his brrow. It can foul the water real quick!

I got him from That Fish Place. So far they've gotten in everything I've ordered in a pretty timely fashion. Seem to have access to a wide variety too.

I tried putting one on order there about a year ago, they got 2 of them in that time frame and never called me! I was able to get the one I have from them by chance during a visit to the store.

Thats cool you were able to get one from them. Whenever I've tried to contact them re: a specific species, they always told me they didn't know....so I never ordered one from there.

I have used selcon as a food soak for mine in the past. Its especially useful if done pre and post molt. Be prepared for molting! That's when most of them kick the bucket as its stressfull for them. When you start to notice they have barraced all there entrances and you don't see them come out at alll it is getting ready to molt. Don't mess with them at all during this time, even for a week or more after they will be out of whack. Keep up with wc but don't mess with them other then that.

My peacock has done it at least once and maybe twice since I had him. So far it has gone off without a hitch for him and I barely knew it happened. A chiragra I had a little while ago was a posterchild for difficult molting,it was horrible for 2 weeks for it everytime and I learned a lot!
