Peacock on divers den

I usually never hijack a post but am not as familiar with shell rot as I should be. What about the pictured mantis shows rot? I ask because my peacock looks much like that one.

no those just are colorations i believe it might have just molted or is close to a molt...this is shell rot

I just paid 80 bucks for a big male, guess I got screwed but he is the first one I have seen in my area for over a year.

Dont base the price you pay off DD. DD can have some nice stuff but also can have some hefty prices, they can also have some high prices with some bad quality when it comes especially to mantis. For a couple weeks they had ones that sold instantly & they were so bashed up I was sure they had done time in iraq/a-stan. I think 1 out of the 4 during those couple of weeks lived more than a 2 days after delivery.

I paid even more than you for my peacock, but it is a beautiful green, not the drab brown like the one pictured up top, and the price difference didnt matter to me cause I got mine from what I feel is a quality place.
