Pearly jawfish and watchman goby?

I've got a 3" watchman goby in my 185 (60 x 24 x 30) and was looking at adding a pair of pearly jawfish. Anyone know if this would be a problem? Any experience keeping these two species together in a 5-foot tank?

I just added a jawfish with my yellow watchman. I am not sure if my jawfish is just retarded, or if the yellow watchman is really harassing him that much.

The jawfish has several burrows and seems to do fine, however whenever he goes out wondering the tank, the yellow does harass him a little bit.

The end result is that I have to fish the jawfish out of the overflow every other day.

I have both in a 34g cube and have no problems. They each have their own burrow and leave each other alone. Now I have heard of people having issues with the watchman bullying the jawfish so maybe I'm just lucky. Also make sure you cover your tank with the jawfish. They will go carpet surfing if you don't.

Yep, the tank is covered. Hmm. The watchman has been there awhile. I'll have to think some more.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'd be wary as new addition jaws (esp ones under 4") are really nervous in a new tank and get easily stressed. I'd remove the goby if possible and re-add a few weeks after you add the jaw. Put it in the sump if possible.

Yeah, I may just skip it. It would be really hard to catch the watchman. The tank is 30" deep and he seldom ventures more than a few inches outside his little cave at the bottom of a pillar of rocks.
