Pelagic, skimmer bubble sized "animals"?

When I turned away from feeding my pipefish to look at my 10gallon stomatopod tank, I saw loads of what looked like baby brine shrimp clouding the water column. At first I thought they were baby brine shrimp, but then when I looked closer, they were definately not BBS.

Problem:
Free floating, BBS-sized (assumedly crustacean) animals in the water column that I am wondering if they are beneficial (as live food etc) or harmful and invasive.

Description:
They are the size of newly hatched brine shrimp, and are pretty much round to the naked eye. I think they are capable of propulsion because they make ragged dashes in different directions, sometimes against the current.

Additional Details:
I only noticed them a few minutes ago. They definately were not there (at least not in huge numbers) 12 hours ago.

Anyone want to venture a guess as to what they are?
Are they safe (or good) for breeding as use as food for my dragonfaced pipefish?
Should I leave them?
Should I spread them to my other tank?

Thank you :D

Did you possibly have a mantis release eggs. I have witnessed it first hand, and what you described resembles what I witnessed.

Tough to get good pics of pelagic proto-larva but it's worth a shot

Based on the signature, I'm sticking with a mantis egg release.

Hmmm...it's definitely not the manti. Both stomatopods on this system are males...and they are or different species in different tanks. However, I think it could be the crabs. I have dozens of crabs in a guppy breeder box hanging inside the tank (feeders for the stomatopods) and at least one of them seems to be pregnant with dark red eggs...could the free swimming things be their larvae?
