I got a Penelope birds nest a couple weeks ago at a local *** swap and I noticed it is bleaching somewhat and turning black at the base and tips! I don't know why can someone please help me I love this thing! :(
My parameters are:
Nitrite:0
Amonia:0
Nitrates:10
Calcium: 450

Lights are mh/t5 mix for a total of 356 watts over my 75 gallon. My other birds eat is doing good I think so I don't know what's wrong here r some pictures

Two different kinds of coral. I believe the ponape likes less light, put it lower in your tank or give it a shadier spot
Mine goes white on the tips if too much light. Down low it gets it's green branch/purple tips back quickly, tough coral to place imo

I just moved him but there r no shady spots in the sand for him. Right now I have him in about mid tank in a cave where he get just a little light but good flow. Is that ok?

mine had a few spots bleach, algae grew on those dead spots and were black. The rest of the coral is growing well and has not been effected by the few dead tips.
