Hello I have a 50 gallon tank that has a few fish And corals I am running the octopus 1000 skimmer and a BRS dual media rector I was thinking of hooking up a penn plax 1000 canister filter can anyone tell me if this will help or create a problem with nitrates or algae Thanks
What problems are you trying to solve with the canister? If there's not an issue, don't bother adding the heat, noise, and power draw a canister causes to your system.
