I saw something online and decided to try it

I took my pentax M 100 2.8 and mounted it on my camera. set to 2.8 and infinity
Then I held the front of the lenses together and adjusted the F on my Pentax M 50 1.7

when placed together I was able to achieve some incredible macro photos

these are of a butterfly that happened to fly into our house while I was experimenting. It was shortly released.

Hmm. I don't get it. So if I took my camera and attached one lens and took another lens and held it up to it backwards it would do this?

Those are amazing.
Nice job!

Yes. It works best with prime lenses. You can get a "Coupling Ring" which is threaded male to male to connect the lenses too. Use the larger focal length lens mounted on the camera and the shorter focal length lens backwards with the aperture wide open. Magnification is simple ratio of the mounted lens length divided by the length of the front mounted lens. A 150 mm lens mounted on the camera body with a 50 mm lens mounted backwards on the front of it would give you up to 3 times life size where as a normal dedicated macro will just go to life size. (150/50=3)
