People w/ Masterflex peri pumps ...

Can you give me any pointers about these pumps, I am thinking about getting one for my top off. Are they finicky or do they have any really annoying hangups that make them a PITA?

Can you use them with a float switch or on a timer?

I have three of them in use, all on float switches. They can also be used on a timer. They work well for me.
