Where do you put your power strips, etc? Under the tank attached to the stand, attached to the outside of the stand, or do you run the wires to a nearby wall? However you have it set up, would you change anything?

ours is all run to outlets and the dc4 and dc8 that are controled by our aqua controler II. We're not that far from you if you ever want to swing by and check it out....

Actually Dennis, I did buy some frags from you about 6 weeks ago. I remember your fish room, but not all the details. I plan on setting up a mini fish room in about 10 months for a possible new 180 tank. I am just collecting information a little early.
I checked out the aqua controller - $400 - little pricey for me - seems cool, but seems like there are cheaper options out there.

I bought a rubbermaid storage closet(like you would see outside or in a garage)

and for the power strips I bought 2 of the american DJ power panels. I built a box to mount them in then put the box in the closet.

I have 3 x 15 amp services going to the room as well. 1 for each of the power strips and one extra.

I put the electrical stuff as far away from the water as I could.
