pep shrimp harm mini carpets?

thinking of putting some peperment shrimp into my mini carpet tank to control aptesia. does anone know if the peps will harm the carpets?

They can when you are feeding. They are nutritious for stealing food and damaging corals while doing this.

There seems to be alot of confusion about exactly which peppermint snail will go after aptaisia. Make sure to do some homework on it and get the right ones before you invest. You want Lysmata wurdemanni.

Alot of the ones that are common at lfs are Lysmata californica and are not the right ones.
