So for the guys here who're in the know, whats the price for the fish in DD?

I saw some figures thrown in this thread that were insane.

I'm not one of those people in the know, but ....Who said it will even make it to DD ;)

I don't think they have finalized anything yet, but that is just from reading here, fb, glassbox etc.

Also on a side note, I don't see the problem spending 25k on a fish like this. It is similar to buying record breaking (or holding) sports paraphernalia. This fish is the holy grail of the hobby and anyone who does not put this at the top of fish they wish they owned is seriously unbalanced. Just an opinion :C). Now if you go into debt to buy a fish . . .you may be just as messed up. . . ;c).

It wasn't that bad lol, sure it is perfectly healthy.

Not you were joking... You can never know for sure the health of a fish, just the excellent care Kevin gives his fish before selling them. But if I am buying a 6" Conspic for that type of money, the picture should be an absolute A+ perfect example of the species. The picture shows a C to a C- fish.

Nope, When I do, I want a smaller one than 6 inches

Happy to hear. Whether that was a the healthiest 6" Conspic on the planet, a 6" Conspic is a hit or miss fish for long term success. I am sure you know of a source for small ones. If not LMK. T

Actually, everytone shoudl think this NOW for their current setup too- not just a dream setup. I know that I could with mine. How about yous guys.

Chris- a great white would be aweful. Didnt you ever see "Jaws"? There is no movie about killer nurse sharks though. Therefore, they MUST be safe.

I hope this is not too far off topic, but i was thinking of selling my 1/4hp chiller to get a 1/2. But i can get another 1/4 hp for much less much easier (used). Are you guys suggesting to do this? It seems it could save some money, and be safer to getting stuck on. Also, you could also set one @ 76 and have the other turn on @ 77...

Nothing yet on that front Vili... all pricing right now is speculation, and of course determinant on many factors that are not even yet worked out...

I can't wait to see this on DD, if they get it. I hope whoever ends up buying it will post some pics, but I understand if they don't want to take the flak from all of the jealous people.

Just wondering, what makes this fish so rare? Is it the depth they are collected at or something else?

+1 I completely agree with this statement. The Conspic on DD looked stressed and a bit beat up. If I drop the coin for the fish, it needs to be as close to perfection as possible, or at least better looking than the specimen that was offered. I wonder if it is in with any other fish that may be stressing it out.

Forget about it guys, the wife said its a very pretty fish so I gotta get it :) Going to the bank tomorrow to refinance my 8000 truck 5 times just to make sure I have enough $$$$$ LOL

There was another post about the conspic and Kevin said that it is in much better shape than the pic and he will reshoot it tomorrow.

it wouldn't surprise me if it went for around 12k. 25000 i think is a drastic over exaggeration. lol

should be interesting to see in the next few months!
