peppermint shrimp and acans

I just bought a green acan and a green duncan frag, but I need peps to eat my hydroids, will there be a problem with peps eating my new frags? And I have 1 blue leg crab, and 4 scarlets, will there be problems between peps and them?

Peppermint shrimp are nocturnal so there shouldn't be a issue between them and your other shrimp. Hermits are opertunistic feeders/scavengers and will kill snails to take their shells. Peppermints shrimp shouldn't eat you Duncan or acan but there is always the chance of having a rogue shrimp

I have not heard of Peppermint Shrimp religiously eating hydroids. Either way, I would not trust them in a reef tank. Do a search on them. More often than not, they end up eating corals. For hydroids, I have had success using Aiptasia-X on them.

My peppermints liked my aiptasia (good) and my LPS (bad). They were removed as a part of a tank upgrade. They seemed to bother hammers, frogspawn and an open brain. They never bothered my acans (at least that I am aware of). I don't think they would bother a Duncan (didn't seem to bother mine).
