Are bubble tips and peppermint shrimps compatable? I know the peppermints eat aptasia... I have a little bit of aptasia but only maybe 10. not enough to continuously feed a shrimp.. will it go for a bta being another sort of anemone?

Also, I have a hitchhiker anemone that came on a piece of polp rock. It is no bigger than a nickle fully extended, eats great, brown color, long tenicles with bulbs in the end but looks nothing like a bta, any guesses? Think thats ok with peppermint shrimp? :D thanks so much I positively love this site

I can only answer your first question, I have 2 peps in my 58 with 2 BTAs, all have been together for about 6 months now, I have haven't had any issues.

The only time mine bothers my RBTA is when I feed it. The Peps take its food.

They wont try and eat it.

If you only have 10 aptasia then in a week or so you will only have 20. They multiply fast. You would be ok with 1 shrimp. Plus it wont starve if there is no aptasia. I have 3 in a 55. They eat the same thing I feed my fish.

They are cool to watch.

I havent had my aptasia multiply like that! Ive been very watchful of them because frankly they are really hated on, but i had maybe 6, 2 months ago and now ten. they older ones are getting big though.

looking forward to getting a shrimp or two!! thanks

Peps are ok with BTA.. But that other HH you have sounds like majano.. Its almost as bad as apstasia. The pep might not eat it though.
