I'm looking for a Peppermint Shrimp to control my 3 Aiptasia. If anyone has one they would like to get rid of let me know.

you maybe better off trying joes juice or another alternative I have had minimal success in the past with peppermint shrimp

i have used joes juice and observed my peppermint shrimp eating what is left of the aiptasia (after joes) ive heard that peppermint shrimp are good at picking the small aiptasia (spores?)floating around in the water.

My peppermint shrimp did a great job on mine. I think the key is to not feed the tank much or they will just take that food. Mine are so good at eating it that I can place a rock with aiptasia on it in the tank and they clean it off in less than a day.

Mix up a little kalkwasser and hot water. Draw the mixture into a syringe. Feed the aptasia a drop or two. It'll close up and shrivel away to nothing within a 5 hours or so. My pep shrimp weren't interested in the aiptasias.

i had one aptaisa that the peppermints didnt touch, all i did was make some super high salinity water and inject it. worked like a charm and little effect on the tank chemistry.

I have used vinegar with success and part 1 of B ionic also just squirting a drop or 2 of either into there mouths, it may take a couple trys to knock them down but it works

I have found that the shrimp love the little ones but don't often take on bigger ones. but the suggestion of keeping the food light for a period of time will work (at least it did for me)
