Peppermint shrimp

Hey all, I just bought a Coral Banded Shrimp at my LFS, cuz i just couldn't avoid their awesomeness.

Anyways, I already have a peppermint shrimp in there(for two weeks), and I was wondering if there will be any aggression between the two. I am 95% sure there won't be, but just to be sure.

How long they coexist depends on the size tank, size difference between the shrimp, and the amount of rockwork IME. The Coral Banded Shrimp WILL take pot shots at any other shrimp. Those big claws can do some damage. I once found a small skunk cleaner with all the legs on one side taken off by a pair of Coral Bandeds. He recovered in the sump and was fine in the main tank once he got bigger. Also the Peppermints that I had at the time were the first to start dissapearing. I was'nt sure if it was the CBS couple or just the short lifespan of the peppermints but I increased feeding and there was less carnage. There was always some snipped antennae or worse though. Hope this helps.

I have a CBS and (3) Peppermint Shrimps in a 225 no problems whatsoever and they have crossed paths numerous times.
