Pepsi throwback

Anyone else try it? I love it as it reminds me of the Pepsi in the 16 once glass bottle we use to buy in the eight pack. Awesome stuff, I hope they keep it on the market.

Never heard of it. I do love colas in the glass bottle for what ever reason. To me, it taste better. I hate drinking out of plastic.

Pepsi and Mountain Dew are be made with real sugar, not corn syrup so it taste (to me) just like it did when I was a kid. I was never much for the dew but the Pepsi has me quite excited.
I had to go to wal-mart to find it.

I also found Mexico coke at kroger. Glass bottle, real sugar, awesome. It is 1.80 a bottle though :lol:

I am also going to take a guess there will be a good sale on pepsi products at Walgreens starting Sunday ( they are 1 of our fire sprinkler accounts) and there stock rooms are packed to the limit with them

I love the Mexican Coke! The glass bottel is the kicker though, so much better!!!
I like the Throwback too, nice clean and not as sweet I don't think. I only hope Coke decides they have to compete... I remember chugging an ice cold 16oz bottle after football practice was the best

The pepsi guy at work said it would be out for a while but not forever unless sales could support it. They have started the marketing but not everyone has gotten it. I would bet that within a week everyone will have it.

Anybody remember having to split the old 16oz glass Pepsi bottles with your brothers or sisters? I know when I did it as a kid we'd line the glasses up, do some math to compensate for the rotation of the earth and then grab a level to make sure everyone got the EXACT same amount! :lol:

As for the Mexican Pepsi - it's the best! I spent several years working off and on in Mexico and got hooked. The other great drink that I don't know why you can't get here is Lift which is a carbonated apple drink from Coke. I drank all kinds of that stuff in Mexico because it's not too sweet and great on a hot day. The only place I've seen it is at Ice Station Cool in the Epcot theme park.

I believe that is the same as the Coke made in Mexico.

I head on the radio they will be doing an 8 week test run of the throwbacks. Long Term will be based on sales so get everyone you know to buy a bunch.
It has more of a clean cola aftertaste instead of the syrupy sweetness.
I like it.

I am not familiar with the "old folk" Pepsi, but the "NEW" to me Mountain Dew throwback is a needed change and it isn't too bad. Plus for a buck its cool.
I'd buy it long term

I found pepsi and coke in the glass bottle in a gas station when i went to Detroit for a hot rod show this year. Didnt get one though.

I've seen the mexican coke at a local store - I'll have to try it. I did'nt realize it was made any differently. I'm anxious now.
