percs

I was planning on getting maybe 2-4 baby percula for my tank that currently have a haddoni anemone in. I was wondering if it will be possible for them to host haddoni?

I've been told by aquarists here in Japan that percs will not host a haddoni. One told me that chances are "close to zero." But I'm sure there are always exceptions to the rule.

I have seen percs in haddoni anemones. I have also heard stories of inexperienced young percs being eaten by haddoni anemones!

Thanks you guys. Percs and ocellaris are my fave clown, but i like percs a little more due to the colorations. So i might be getting 3 young percs :)

Do not get three clowns! The weakest clown will get picked on by the other two. Clowns can usually handle being picked on by one other clown, being teamed up on usually ends up in the death of the third clown..

I agree...three clowns is a sure way to lose one.

Don't listen to the LFS employees (or others) who tell you that you need to buy three clowns to ensure that you get a pair. When you buy three clowns, you will get a pair, but you'll also get a dead clown.

I had an LFS try to convince me that without a third clown, the smaller one would surely be killed. Same guy tried to tell me that gender progression in clowns is from female to male...some people have good intentions, but just don't know what they're talking about.

Ok, thanks. I will just get 2 clowns then. Thats way better than getting 3 clowns cause it saves me money too :P How long will it take to find the anemone? since its in my 55 gallon.

I went and bought 2 percula but the stupid LFS tagged them as 59 each. The price was 20 on the tank but it was 59 when i was going to paid, so i said i didnt want them anymore. Now im gonna go get a white stripe maroon for 16 bucks at petco, do u think theyll host in haddoni?

heres Super NooBs GSM hosting a blue haddoni
