Percula Clown and Anemones

Could anyone please advise what anemones will host a Percula Clown. I know that they will associate with H. Magnifica and S. Gigantea but both of these get very large. I have heard that they may associate with the H. crispa and the S. mertensii. Please advise.

Heteractis Magnifica
Stichodactyla gigantea

Yes percs will host those anemones but they host others too such as the BTA, S. Haddoni Carpet, LTA etc.

Its not guaranteed with these anemones but they usually host.

like i said in the other thread...they wont always choose an anemone either, even if there is one or 2 in the tank, they still may take some other coral instead.

The chances of an ocellaris accepting a BTA as a host increases dramatically when the anemone is large (w/ a diameter 3-4 times the clowns length). Small BTAs are not very appealing to ocellaris and percula IME.

Does this apply with most clownfish and anemones. So I should get the largest BTA for my pair of Tomatos?

They are not real picky. My tomato is hosting my hammer coral right now. I have never had a clownfish before and to see it host something in my tank is pretty cool. But I plan on getting the biggest BTA possible to put it in my tank to host that.
