Bought at same LFS as other in pic...

new one at front , is way more yellow fatter and black lines more blurred....

Other one at back of Pic , is slimmer very orange.. black lines thinner and more defined.

Both from same shop, same price, both labelled and sold as Percula.

Wondering , Is it not a Perc?

Thanks

I'm no expert but I would say the one in the front would be a perc (due to the orange in the eyes and the more- prominent black around the stripes) and the one in the back to be an occellaris (due to the almost all black eyes and thin black lining around the stripes). Good luck :)!

so they could mate up then still? :love1:

Well I've read places that it does happen. Not sure if it's harder or not since they're technically two different clowns. Hope fully someone with more experience can chime in!

Yes your larger one is a Percula female and the other is an ocellaris male (pretty sure ocellaris too much flash to see the eye but it looks black), and yes they can breed just fine

yes while they are two difference species they do mate and pair. the process of pairing is slightly more difficult than with two of the same species because the signals they give off for submission or dominance is not the exact same but after the confusion they should get along just fine! I personally have an ocellaris and percula pair.
