Perculas and psuedochromis

Anyone have any problems with introducing Perculas and a psuedochromis?

I introduced 2 small perculas and the psuedo was extremely aggressive to the one and ended up finding it dead in the morning.

The other one seems to be fine although it will go after it everyonce and awhile. I am going to try introducing yet another in hopes of them mating off. (Both are Fry) Interesting thing is my sailfin tang seems to stick up for the perculas when the psuedochromis goes after them.

I would watchout with psudochromis'. if you are ever going it have one it is best to introduce them last, so they arent soo mean to anything that comes into thier territory.

I think thats the problem. It was inherited from a friend of mine i bought the tank from. So he has been in there with just the Sailfin for about 3 months or so.

pseudochromis are mean little SOB's and I wouldnt trust him in a peaceful tank. at least not with a percula. I had one with a fully grown clarkii and they still got into it.

I introduced my pair of ocellaris to my 30g tank after the springeri pseudo had been in for a while. The female was bigger than the pseudo, so it worked out. You mentioned two "small" percs. Perhaps at least one larger one would work better, and would make pairing less problematic too. What species of pseudo is it?

If you want to keep the pseudo and clowns I'd suggest getting a nice large perc for your next fish, one that is about as big as you can find!
