Perfect Sand Sifter

We have a Diamond Watchman Goby (Valenciennea puellaris ) that we purchased from Liveaquaria last October. It's from Sri Lanka, is 4-5" long, beautiful, healthy and a work horse in the tank. We have a 110 gallon tall marine aquarium with a 2" live sand substrate that he keeps pristine clean and with live rock for him to burrow under.
This goby was advertised as a "œtimid" fish that rarely becomes aggressive toward other fish unless they are conspecific. We've found this to be true at all times except feeding time. Unfortunately he is way too aggressive to be in the same tank with our main livestock, seahorses. He peacefully cohabitates with our 19 year old clown fish at all times and the seahorses slide past him during the day, sometimes even dragging their tails over him and lingering without incident as he sifts"¦until feeding time.
We love this fish and are not looking forward to manually turning the sand bed again but we can't keep him; it's too stressful for the seahorses.
We live in Howell about 15 min. west of Belmar NJ. Goby is free to good home if you're local. He needs 30 gallons or more, sand substrate, rocks to burrow under and a few shells or other small rubble as building materials.
Thanks

Hi Margin55,
Your tank sounds perfect. You won't believe how white and clean your tank will be thanks to Goby. The Diamond Watchman is supposed to be one of the best sifters. We live on the border of Jackson and Howell. Want to take a look at him sometime this weekend?

I would like to see the Goby. I live off of S New Prospect in Harmony Farms. I definitely will take him off your hands if you are ok with it.

Great! He'll be happy to have a new home. Let's switch to private messaging. I'll send one to you shortly.

For some reason the site won't allow me to send you a private message "until I have 10 posts"? I'm new to the club; don't have 10 posts. I sent you an email instead. Let me know if you get it.

Hi Mark, We dropped Goby off at his new home tonight. I told the owner if he has any problems between Goby and his existing livestock you're out there, at least for now, and would be interested in taking him. Thanks so much for the offer.
