Dear All,

I have an odd probelm here. I have 2 bali staghron coming from the same mother colony. You can see in the photos below. the one on the left side is growing nicely....However the one the right side is setting there doing nothig.....weird. both have been in the tank for 5 months+ .
i tryed to snap the head of the "growing one" ( you can actually see it ) and it never grew back..Still the branches are growing.
Any ideas ?

The first two photos to show the growth of the branches on the one on the left and showing the one on the right doing noting. Also you can see that I tryed to sanp the head and it never grew back.

It is pretty common for corals to go dormant and not grow or grow very slowly. Keep water quality good and stable and it will wake up.

I got a milli that stood still for over a year, then one day it was as if someone flicked the switch and its making up for lost time.

try increasing flow. i also notice you hardly have any coralline algae growth. make sure your parameters are in check. How old is your tank?
All my milleporas grow too fast.

Well, I have noticed that Iam not growing any Coraline Algea on the rocks but they are growing on the back glass.

However, I tryed to keep my tank nutrient low . I feed onse a day, bi-weekly water changes and I dont have any algea problem except a brownish slime on the glass showing by the end of the week. one african pygmy angel and two green chromis.

No red bugs that I can see.
