So I have been doing some searching for a peristaltic pump to control the effluent of a calcium reactor.
It seems those who have done this recommend the Cole Parmer Masterflex pumps, but new they are insanely expensive, and used on ebay I don't know what to look for and lots of products haven't been tested which makes me nervous. Some people claim to get used pumps for $100 or $150 but when I have been searching lately most of the controllable pumps seem to be at least double that. Maybe you can control fixed flow pump?
Also, McMaster Carr has some in $200-$300 range, but would it be a bad choice?
The litermeter has also come to mind and some people report of using it, but then never report back. Can anyone comment on its effectiveness? It seems like it might be best used to suck water through the reactor. Thoughts?
If anyone has any other recommendations as well I am open to looking at other brands. Thanks.
