peroxide dip

I did not add this mix to my tank, I took the frag out and did it in a small container, rinsed the frag then put it back into the tank.

Bad news, this morning they seem to be showing their ugly little heads. Maybe it was not strong enough, some are telling me they are very hard to kill with peroxide. So next best thing, the garbage. It is a very small frag of them so I am not worried, I have 2 other frags of the same zoas, I just do not want anthelia all over my tank as its very invasive and this is the short brown kind, nasty stuff.

Well I guess we learned something. I guess for the sake of science you could try a 100% dip and see what it does to the anthelia. I tried straight peroxide on some zoas once; most of them (probably 60-65%) survived.

What the heck, if you're gonna chuck them anyway.

This is the second post of yours in this thread that made me say "EXACTLY!!!" LOL

I tried another dip but no luck, I gave the small frag to a friend whom wanted it so I don't have to worry about it in my tank anymore. Very interesting though to try this, I have never done anything like this before and learned something.

Thanks for reporting back. Looks like anthelia is tougher than xenia is reported to be. One more reason to fear that vile weed!
